Ridin' in Style

Have you ever stopped to think about how incredibly awesome the vehicles are in the DCU? I mean, does Marvel even have cool rides?

Consider just a few, such as Wonder Woman's freakin' Invisible Jet and Batman's Batmobile, the greatest car ever.

Hell, even the lesser characters had cool modes of transportation. Blue Beetle's Bug. That wacky time sphere that the Legion of Superheroes use to use. Nightwing's car. Hell, even Jimmy Olsen's flying newsroom (that helicopter had room for a desk, a typewriter, and a bowl of mints).

In the DCU, everybody rides in style...

You are correct sir, in that the New Gods seem to have some of the most radical methods of transportation in the universe.

And yeah, what IS that thing??

Iron Man's Armor. As he said in this week's Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, it comes with a dessert tray and liposuction machine.

Take that!

Honestly, the Batmobile looses out to most Marvel vehicles in functionality. Sure depending on the model it may be able to fly or swim, and it'll always be the most recognizable super-vehicle, but the Fantasticar can do just about anything.

And which would I rather have Mjiolnir or the Batmobile. Well my name is mallet for freaks sake.

If you want to get horribly non-canon, always reference the Japanese Spiderman show. He gets a (flying?) car (Spider Machine GP-7) AND a giant spaceship that transforms into a mech (Marveller, Leopardon).

If you know your henshin shows (not sentai, no multicolored spiderman team), you'll know this is the first show in which the monster grew, requiring the big mech to fight them...

the rocket powered garden equipment thing that Orion uses. Seriously, what IS that thing?

It's the AstroGlider, not to be confused with AstroGlide, which I suspect Orion rides as well.
