Supergirl #35

No real post tonight. I went to see my sister's play (she does the drama thing, as I once did) this evening and just got home. So I'm a little tired.

But I did get a quick chance to peruse some of this week's comics. And I just want to say this:

I think this Supergirl now officially has a more convoluted origin than the Peter David Linda Danvers Supergirl. Well done, DC. Somehow you have accomplished the impossible.

Well this issue did an ok job of trying to reconcile her past I thought. It didn't make sense? It was kryptonite poisoning!

I'm just annoyed we didn't see any of the new Nightwing. They can't leave me hanging like this!!

Ya I agree with Patrick. You sure you didn't miss something? They totally fixed her origin in this issue and made it simple.

In "Batman and the Outsiders" #13, the (presumably new) Vigilante shows up. You get a somewhat obscured look at his face before he puts his mask on, and he has short blond hair like a certain Mr. Jack Wheeler...

I noticed that, Paul. Yes indeed I did. Wouldn't it be wild if he turned out to be WILD DOG?

Also: they may have fixed her, but that doesn't mean all those weird stories from before have gone away. Is "Kryptonite Poisoning" the new "Superboy-Prime Punched a Wall"?

Gotta side with guys on this one; it completely simplified her origin for me, and, now, for the first time, it's comprehensible.

Yeah, I'm coming around to your thinking as well. I reread the issue and it does simplify things, even if it does seem like a "punch a wall" kind of explanation and you ignore everything that happened before.

But this won't be the first time a comic has done that, is it?
