We Didn't Know

Dear God. Sweet Jesus. The September solicitations are out and there are revelations there that fill me with dread. Dread, I say!

Consider this: the solicitation for Blackest Night: Titans #2 prominently features Donna Troy. It tells us that "Donna Troy faces her worst possible nightmare."

Let's review the Blackest Night concept, shall we? Horrible super-powered zombies rise from the dead to take vengeance on the living. The zombies are the friends, significant others, and spouses of our heroes.

Black Lantern Terry Long!

Black Lantern Terry Long!

Black Lantern Terry Long!

God help us all...

Urghhh! He was scary enough when he was alive! I shudder to think of the havok that he could wreak as a zombie...er, Black Lantern.

Terry Long could make Sinestro himself, run screaming into the night.

Lay off Terry Long. As a boyfriend he was supportive in the best sense in DC Universe: he was killable. This is the mistake female heroes always make: don't date other heroes. If you do, you risk becoming a "supporting character," and they have a horrible mortality rate. (Remember Graduation Day?) But if you date the likes of Terry, then when some writer or editor needs an easy shocker, your boyfriend's the one to go.
Hey, it keeps you alive!

Great Krypton thats Terry-Fying! (Awful pun, couldn't resist...)

Seriously though, I hope Terry comes back just like that. Afro and all.

Hey, Donna had a really good run as Kyle's gf, and she even made it out of the relationship alive! AND her death was clearly never meant to be permanent, so she must have somehow learned her lesson from Terry.

Anyway, wouldn't her worst nightmare be a Black Lantern version of her daughter?
