Employment

I've been thinking about getting a part time job.

You see, I've really cut back on my pursuit of righteous vengeance in recent years. With Jason Todd being back there's really very little call for my style of brutal vigilantism. He's got it covered.

But what can I do? I never really graduated from college. I did study computers for awhile, but I was never really good at it. There was that brief stint as a janitor at Wayne Industries. But you-know-who got me that job. And he's not exactly aknowledging my existence anymore.

There aren't a lot of options. My skill set is relatively limited. I can barely drive and I'm not exactly good with people. But I need something to fill the downtime other than reruns of Law & Order.

What should I do?

Hmm, well the Order of St. Dumas had some religious aspects, right? Maybe pursue a clergy position?

I seem to recall you designed and built that Bat-War suit, so maybe engineering? I'm sure you could convince Oracle to fake the appropriate credentials fro you, assuming you don't already have them.

Have you tried Bodyguard? I'm sure there's loads of rich people in the DCU who would pay big-time.

Hmm, on Calvin's suggestion, maybe costume designer?

There's a guy at Marvel who really digs both your original Azreal suit AND you Az-Bat's suits. Maybe give him a call.

Ooh, or how about advice columnist? You and the good Dr. have a lot of free time now, maybe you could team up.

I'll give you a first question:

How can I tell it's time to drop a title? I've often found myself buying a few titles for a year longer than I should have (including, ahem, yours). What should I have noticed that would have told me to save myself the time and money?

Perhaps you could be a novelist? I greatly enjoyed your take on pulp detective stories in that annual froma few years ago, and you have lots of experience with solving mysteries.

If "Manhunter" weren't being cancelled I'd suggest applying for a suppoting cast position in that book. It seemed like a healthy career move for Chase and Obsidion

How about starting your own business? Like maybe a BBQ restraunt? I mean, with your skills, cutting meat and burning it would feel just like old times. :)

I believe Checkmate is looking for a new Black Knight.

Hmm... I like a lot of those suggestions. I really wish I *could* get into Checkmate. That'd be a dream job. Good pay, benefits, righteous justice.

And it's funny, because I've never even *tried* cooking something. I've mostly subsisted off of instant ramen these past few years. I should give it a try...

Two words:
Japanese Television

Check out what happened to Bob Sapp, and look at what Japan has done for him. You have a catchy look, and with a lucky break you could be the next Booster Gold.
