Blackest Night #8, Pre-Game

Tomorrow comes the final issue of Blackest Night. Tomorrow the new status quo for the DC Universe will be revealed. It all happens tomorrow.

So what is going to happen? Some clues have leaked out. The Rainbow Corps will be headquartered on Earth. Nekron will certainly be defeated. Some characters will undoubtedly be reborn.

Other than that, though? There isn't a whole lot we can be sure of. Really, the doors have been left wide open. Everyone could come back to life or -- just a few. The Corps could expand with more Earth people -- or they could shrink back to just the core.

Anything could happen. While you still have the chance... Give me your predictions.

What will happen in the aftermath of Blackest Night #8?

Well it is pretty much a given that Aquaman will be brought back to life (which I am very happy about!). I'm hoping the same goes for Tempest, The Dibneys (they deserve some happiness), J'onn, both Captain Boomerangs, Ronnie Raymond, Ventriliquist (get rid of that dumb blond!), Golden Glider, Trickster, Top and last (but certainly not least) TED KORD!!!

I'd also like to see Scarecrow take over control of the Sinestro Corps.

I'm not convinced there's going to be the massive resurrection of everyone who's died ever. We know that Aquaman comes back, and we also haven't seen Aquaman get Connection Severed yet. Same goes for the Reverse-Flash, Firestorm, J'onn, Hawkman/Hawkgirl, Superman, Ice and Animal Man.

However we haven't seen any evidence of people who disintegrate are going to come back. I don't think DC is going to bring back the original JSA, Alexander Luthor, Vibe (argh!) or most of the dozens of minor characters. I think those Black Lanterns that survive are going to be resurrected, but those that have crumbled to dust won't be. Which makes me sad.

Once again, Katma Tui does not get resurrected.
