You know, those two DID spend an awful lot of time being absolute jerks to each other.
That's my favorite thing about the Silver Age.
It's a good thing that Superman doesn't have any way of verifying that the figure in the ice is indeed flesh-and-blood-and-bone-and-internal-organs Jimmy Olsen and not a figure made of solid wax. But I suppose he'd need some kind of X-ray to figure that out.
